At Ubud Little Sunshine, we believe that the toddler years are a crucial period for exploration, growth, and self-discovery. Our Montessori-inspired Toddler Program nurtures independence and fosters a love for learning in a safe, joyful, and prepared environment.

The Montessori philosophy in Toddler Class will focuses on:

  • Child-Centered Learning: Children are free to explore materials and activities at their own pace.
  • Independence: Encouraging toddlers to accomplish tasks on their own, building confidence and practical life skills.
  • Prepared Environment: Classrooms are designed to meet the developmental needs of toddlers, with age-appropriate materials and spaces for movement.
  • Hands-On Learning: Toddlers learn by doing, using all their senses to explore and make discoveries.

Our Toddler Class offers a warm, engaging environment where young children begin developing independence, language, motor skills, and social interaction. Here’s what our curriculum covers:

  • Practical Life: Activities like pouring, scooping, and dressing frames help children develop fine motor skills, independence, and a sense of responsibility. This area also includes the beginning of toilet training, where children are gently guided to recognize body signals and gradually build confidence using the toilet.
  • Sensorial: Materials such as color tablets and sound cylinders support exploration through touch, sight, and sound.
  • Language: Children are introduced to basic vocabulary, picture-word matching, storytelling, and songs in both English and Bahasa.
  • Early Math: Sorting, matching, and counting objects lay the foundation for understanding quantity and order.
  • Gross Motor Development: Outdoor play includes climbing, balancing, and nature walks, encouraging body coordination.
  • Social Development: Children learn basic routines, engage in parallel play, and begin to understand turn-taking and cooperation.
  • Creative Expression: Through painting, crafts, music, and movement, children express emotions and stimulate imagination.
